This is not a Round Table

This Is Not A Round Table was an attempt at intitiating a conversation on critical aspects of comics through the medium itself. Part inspired by the happy-go-lucky shortcomings of the ubiquitous Understanding and Reinventing Comics, as well as more peripheral, conversational comics of, say some older Spiegelman or Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell's Snakes and Ladders, or to open out the trend of 'real life' confessional autobiographical comic to a more particapitory method. The idea was to have a limited amount of participants who would converse, argue, and discuss through the format of a 4 frame comic strip statement. I had problems deciding a topic, or at least an opening issue/question, so created an introductory strip, and had a pointedly evasive response from UK artist Paul O'Connell (creator of the hilarious Sound of Drowning). His response adeptly found the missing centre of this venture, and it still has not been carried further. Any takers?
