This Way Up

This Way Up was a Dublin based collaborative comic book project that took place from 2004-2006. With a set of characters and a loose plot conceived and developed by Kate McLarnon and Chris Fite-Wassilak, along with the elusive Henry Place, each issue was based on a particular character's point of view on a set of overlapping occurences and encounters. The script was given to a range of interested artists and illustrators, who each chose a portion of the script. Their visual response was then reinserted in order, creating a kaleidoscopic narrative told in multiple perspectives and styles. The printed comics were then distributed for free.

All three completed issues are available here for download; printed copies of issue 3 are still available upon request.
